Registration for the category of new converts of the 10th Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Competition has begun

NewsThe Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' competition organising committee has declared that applicants, both male and female, from all expatriate groups are welcome to enter. The Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre will handle registration. Based on their performance in reciting the holy Quran and their ability to memorise it, all competitors will get great rewards.
The three levels in this award category—which is intended for recent converts from various expatriate populations living in Qatar—are as follows: Surat Al Fatihah and the brief chapters up to Surat Al Qara'a in the first level, and Surat Al Fatihah and half of Juz Amma up to Surat Al Ala in the second level. Regarding the third level, it fully incorporates Juz Amma and Surat Al-Fatihah.
As part of the competition's efforts to pay attention to and involve new converts in Holy Quran contests, the organising committee clarified that setting aside a category just for them. The programme strives to increase their sense of religion and connection to Islam in their hearts, as well as their brotherhood and camaraderie with one another.
In order to serve the communities living in Qatar, spread Islamic culture, solidify the idea of true Islam with moderation, and teach Arabic to non-native speakers, the organising committee of the Sheikh Jassim Holy Quran Competition collaborates with the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre to organise the new converts category.
