21 Jul 2024
EventThe second Katara Summer Camp, an educational and recreational program for children aged 10 to 13, will be held at the Public Institution for Cultural Village Katara on July 21. The camp will run from July 21 to August 7, 2024, on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays of each week.
In addition to the active participation of a number of facilities and centers of the Katara Cultural Village, such as the Thuraya Planetarium and the Al Gannas Society, several entities in the country are involved in the camp to provide a rich and integrated program. These entities include the Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, the Qatar Red Crescent, Al Jazeera Media Institute, Shooting Club, Al Shaqab, and Sawt Al Khaleej Radio. The program will encompass a range of activities, such as field trips, visits, and workshops and practical training pertaining to the history and awareness aspects.
As the participants will be divided into three groups, each week a new group, Katara has assigned the following number 50047041 and the email Hassan.alkuwari@katara.net so that parents can simply register their children for the week they wish.
Through this camp, Katara aims to improve youths' understanding of national and community values while also helping them to grow as individuals and acquire new skills through a variety of educational and training programs, field trips, and facility tours. It is noteworthy that parents and campers who actively participated in the activities and gave them high marks for them showered the previous summer camp with praises.
