Supervisory Committee announced the winning candidates for the 7th Central Municipal Council

NewsThe winning candidates for the 7th Central Municipal Council (CMC) elections have been announced by the Supervisory Committee on Thursday, June 22. Major General Majid Ibrahim Al Khulaifi, the chairman of the Supervisory Committee, announced the names of winners in the 29 constituencies.
Major-General Majed Ibrahim Al Khulaifi, who oversees the 7th Central Municipal Council (CMC) elections as the director of the ministry of interior's elections department, reported that there were 34,527 registered voters overall, including both male and female voters. In the meanwhile, there were 102 people standing for seats on the Central Municipal Council, including four women.
The candidates in the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth constituencies were elected without opposition, he said, adding that there were 27 electoral seats in which voting took place.
General Al Khulaifi said that 40.7% of the electorate participated in the voting process. The Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Municipality, and numerous media outlets received the supervisory committee's profound gratitude and admiration. The committee also expresses appreciation to the voters, candidates, and everyone who participated in the election, whether on a paid or volunteer basis.
The victors were congratulated by Major-General Al Khulaifi, who also wished them success in their new positions and further advancement and prosperity for the nation.
