The Business Year launched a World Cup special publication at Qatar Investment Summit

NewsThe Business Year (TBY) launched its latest publication, The Business Year: Qatar 2022, World Cup Special Edition 2022 at the Qatar Investment Summit held at the Hilton Doha on 19 September.
The event opened with TBY's Regional Director for the Middle East, Iona Popa, and then Country Manager Natalie Almanza officially presented the Madrid Business Year: Qatar 2022, World Cup Special Edition to attendees.
The publication is the eighth annual edition of TBY, covering the growing ambitions of the Gulf nation, from diversification and self-sufficiency to sustainability and World Cup preparations.
Qatar Investment Summit 2022 drew attention to the most dynamic sectors of the Qatari economy, giving voice to leaders from the public and private sectors across a series of panel discussions.
The first panel, moderated by Saif Hourani, Strategy Partner of Consulting HAUS LLC, and featuring Gudni Stiholt Adalsteinsson, Acting CEO of Doha Bank, and David Cook, CEO of Sharq Insurance, focused on resilience and growth potential in the local economy. Topics that came up in the discussion included fintech, the rise of PPPs, and digital transformation in insurance and banking.
The next session was opened by Ganim Alsulaiti, CEO and founder of Nbat Holding, who gave a speech on sustainable business models, promoting green practices within the local community, and advancing sustainability in the supply chain.
The second panel of the day, moderated by Doha News journalist Hazar Al-Kilani, featured Hatem El Mohandas, Regional CE Manager of Google Cloud and COO of Mesa, Dr. Fadi Nasser and Ali Al Shabibi, Partner of KPMG Qatar participated. , discussed sustainability and ESG initiatives in Qatar.
