The Department of Zakat Fund announced that it has provided financial assistance worth QR16,865,134 in May 2023

The Department of Zakat Fund, speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, declared in May 2023 that it had given financial support of QR16,865,134. The aid has helped about 1,000 families in Qatar who are qualified, according to a statement from the government.

The Department of Zakat Fund pays periodic and lump-sum help for eligible registered households in accordance with Shariah rules and regulations and the recognised processes. Nearly QR7,762,059 in monthly help for qualified families was included in the sums, as well as QR9,103,075 in lump sum aid, which is a one-time aid given as needed.
