Travelers arriving in Qatar from abroad are no longer required to go to hotel quarantine and are required to undergo isolation and quarantine in accordance with procedures followed in the country after testing positive for Covid-19, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced in its policy update on Wednesday.
The new regulation will come into force from 6 pm. local time on Sunday, September 4, MoPH said.
According to the new update, passengers arriving in Qatar are still required to undergo pre- and post-arrival Covid-19 screening procedures, regardless of the individual's vaccination status.
The update also includes ending the current classification lists (Red List) in use in the country. Citizens and residents must undergo a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within 24 hours of arrival in Qatar at a Primary Healthcare Corporation health center or a private medical center approved by the Ministry of Public Health.
Visitors must bring a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test certificate with a negative result within 48 hours of their scheduled flight to Qatar or a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) with a negative result within 24 hours of their scheduled flight to Qatar.
Updates have been made for travel to and from Qatar in full compliance with all measures to prevent and protect the community from the threat of COVID-19. It is based on the latest national and international COVID-19 indicators.
