Uber, Karwa, Q Drive, Badr, Aber, Zoom Ride, and Ryde authorized for passenger transportation business in Qatar

The Ministry of Transportation, through the X platform, said that only a select few companies—Uber, Karva Technology, Q Drive, Badr Go, Abir, Zoom, and Cab Ride—are permitted to transport people via electronic applications. 

The ministry also issued a warning, saying that businesses that break the law will face harsh consequences. According to the Ministry of Transportation, all users utilizing electronic applications for transportation shall make use of the authorized applications mentioned in the circular. 

The ministry has already issued a warning against the country's unlicensed taxi services.
