Vehicles with general and black private transport number plates will be regulated every Friday

Restrictions will be imposed on vehicles with general and black private transport number plates on every Friday.

The scheme, which will be implemented every Friday from 3pm to 10pm from September 30, will divert vehicles with general transport number plates and black private transport number plates from central Doha.

The area covered by the plan extends from Al Khafji Street to the north, C-Ring Road to the west and south, and Corniche Street to the east.

The plan will come into full effect from November 1, coinciding with Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022.

People with only one vehicle (with a public transport number plate or a private black number plate), as well as Mowassalat, Qatar Rail public transport vehicles and emergency vehicles exempt from the plan, can access these roads.
