Working hours for ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions during Ramadan has been announced

Ministries, government organisations, public bodies, and institutions have declared their working hours for the holy month of Ramadan. Today, Thursday, March 7, 2024, is the announcement day. The working hours were specified in a circular issued by HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

According to the circular, it was determined that government officials' official working hours during the holy month would be five hours a day, beginning at nine in the morning and ending at two in the afternoon, because Ramadan was coming. It further said that workers can be allowed to arrive later, up to ten in the morning, as long as they finish the assigned five working hours and fulfil all work-related obligations.

During the holy month, a portion of the workforce—up to thirty percent—will be able to work remotely. The system will prioritise Qatari mothers and individuals with disabilities, so long as it doesn't interfere with their ability to complete their work obligations.
