World Arabian Horse Championship commences today at the historic Old Doha Port in Doha

Today marks the beginning of the World Arabian Horse Championship, which features 150 horses from 21 different countries competing at Doha's historic Old Doha Port. The result of a strategic relationship between the National Centre for Exhibitions and Agricultural Competitions in France and the Katara Cultural Village Foundation is this event, which runs until December 9.

Salem Khalaf Al Mana'i, the CEO of Qatar Insurance Group, and Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, the head of the hosting committee, confirmed Qatar Insurance Group as the official insurance sponsor of the tournament during a recent press conference.

According to Al Mana'i, this sponsorship is the outcome of Katara and Qatar Insurance Group's strategic collaboration, which reaffirms its commitment to helping Qatar achieve greatness in the cultural and sporting spheres. He underlined that supporting this esteemed worldwide championship adds value to the programmes and events that Qatar Insurance Group sponsors and helps to position Qatar as a major global hub for important events at all scales, including Arab, regional, and international.

The procedures for the public to attend and follow the tournament and its related activities were explained by Malika Mohammed Al Shraim, marketing director of Katara and secretary of the tournament's Hosting Committee. Tickets go on sale every day at 8 a.m. on the championship website. Permit holders alone will be allowed access to the port from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 7 and 9.

She continued by saying that ongoing efforts have been made to improve the championship site, which is more than 15,000 square metres in size and has eateries, cafés, and specialty stores for feed and horse supplies. Prizes will be given to the winners of each category, which will include yearling fillies, two- to three-year-old fillies, and mares four years of age and up.

The World Arabian Horse Championship 2023 promises to be an enthralling blend of cultural extravagance, strategic partnerships, and equestrian skill.
