News EventThe Ahmad bin Ali Stadium will host the charity football game dubbed "Match for Hope" on Friday. It is being organised by the Q Life cultural platform and sponsored by Qatar's International Media Office.
At 7.30 p.m., a unique football match starring some of the biggest content producers and football superstars in the world will begin. The teams for the game have now been disclosed by the organisers.
The inaugural team's star player will be Chunkz, a content producer from the UK. The well-known YouTubers Johnny Carey, David Vujanic, Angry Ginge, Just Riadh, Ahmad Aboroub, Anders Hofman, AJ Shabeel, Amar Kandil, Xduttinho, Daud Suleiman, British rapper Aitch, French freestyle footballer Sean Garnier, and British freestyle footballer Billy Wingrove will all be joining him. Harry Pinero, a fellow content creator, will also be present.
Italian Antonio Conte will manage the team.
The game is being organised in collaboration with the Education Above All Foundation (EAA) and Qatar Football Association (QFA). Funds raised through the game will be used to build awareness about EAA and its activities. It will go towards helping their projects in six countries — Palestine, Sudan, Pakistan, Tanzania, Mali, and Rwanda.
The match will take place at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium which has a 45,000-capacity. It has hosted seven matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and as many games during the recent 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The last batch of tickets for the exhibition match is currently on sale at the QFA platform and can be purchased here. Fans can also donate to the initiative by clicking on the website’s ‘Donate’ button.
The doors will open to the public at 4.30 pm and fans will have the option to use the Doha Metro network to easily access the stadium.
