Design Doha unveiled the Crafting Design Futures exhibition at MIA, will be held from December 1 to 30

News EventIn the presence of Qatar Museums CEO Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar H E Mohamed Setri, and other dignitaries, DESIGN DOHA, in partnership with the Years of Culture initiative, opened the Crafting Design Futures exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).
During the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, nine gifted craftspeople from Qatar and Morocco made their pieces for this exhibition as part of the Crafting Design Futures exchange program. From December 1 to December 30, the exhibition will take place in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery on the fourth floor.
Crafting Design Futures, curated by Gwen Farrelly, is the culmination of the Design Doha Residency Program Qatar | Morocco: Crafting Design Futures, which brought together designers from both countries in a groundbreaking cultural exchange. This residency bridges common heritage and creative innovation by celebrating the marriage of modern design and traditional craftsmanship.
