First edition of Fareej festival for art and design at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal from October 31

The first Fareej festival for art and design will take place at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal from October 31 to November 6 with the participation of 19 different entities, according to the Ministry of Culture (MOC). 

Sections with various themes, including arthouse, art and inspiration, theater, Mal Lawal (of the past), and Al Hosh (backyard), are planned for the Fareej (meaning neighborhood) festival.

In addition to theater performances, art workshops for all ages, cultural conferences, and art studios, the festival will also feature four art exhibitions. 

The festival, which brings together over 100 local and international artists and designers with a variety of styles, is a platform that promotes art and creativity, according to Huda Al Yafei, director of the Visual Arts Center. This helps to enhance Qatar's artistic and cultural landscape.

By celebrating artistic innovation and cultural interaction, the Fareej festival for art and design hopes to establish itself as a global platform that fosters communication between the public and artists.
