First edition of the Souq Waqif Truffle Exhibition and Auction has sold 70 tonnes of truffles so far

Seventy tonnes of truffles have been sold in the first edition of the Souq Waqif Truffle Exhibition and Sale. 

The first edition of the exhibition, which opened on January 18, attracted a lot of attention and visitors, according to General Supervisor Khalid Saif Al Suwaidi, who spoke with Qatar News Agency (QNA). This was likely due in part to the exhibition's location at Souq Waqif, which sees a lot of foot traffic and supports the truffle industry. In addition, Al Suwaidi clarified that the exhibition will now open after the Taraweeh prayer during Ramadan, with new hours. 

Depending on the truffles' availability, the Souq Waqif Truffle Exhibition and Auction 2024 may be extended, as per Al Suwaidi.
