Free public event will be hosted on June 4 to view the "planetary parade" at Al Kharrara

Six of the eight planets in our solar system will queue this week in Qatar for what is known as a "planetary parade": Saturn, Neptune, Mars, Uranus, Mercury, and Jupiter. On Tuesday, June 4, in Al Kharrara, a free public event will begin at one in the morning to allow aficionados to see this celestial occurrence.

Participants will be able to observe the night sky both with the naked eye and through telescopes focused on Saturn, Mars, and the Moon. A good view is possible on any night of this week. That being said, on June 4th, it is preferable to travel to a clear, dark place east of the city lights.

For viewing the planetary procession from a distance away from city lights, several places in the nation, such Khor Al Adaid, Al Kharrara, Al Aamriya, and Galactic Bay, provide fantastic spots.

From Earth's perspective, planetary alignments happen when planets move in unison along their ecliptic orbits. While five or six planet alignments are regarded as noteworthy, such alignments, including three to eight planets, are not unusual.

The outer planets, which travel slowly in the sky, provide many possibilities for planetary alignments, therefore more are anticipated in the years to come.
