Inaugural edition of Al Thumama Ramadan Football Championship; 24 teams expected to take part in the event

News EventThe first Al Thumama Ramadan Football Championship is scheduled to take place at the Al Thumama Fareej Playground and is anticipated to attract 24 teams, as stated by the organisers yesterday. Under the auspices of Qatar Sports for All Federation, a youth competition for athletes ages 10 to 14 is being conducted (QSFA).
At a news conference held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth headquarters, Hassan Ali Al Ishaq, the leader of the tournament's organising committee, expressed gratitude to QSFA for helping to make the event happen.
The ultimate victors of the tournament will take home a prize of QR7000, while runners-up will get a reward of QR5000. The third-place squad will get QR3,000. Trophies and medals will be awarded to the contending teams, while player honours will be given out individually.
Former Qatari custodian Younes Ahmed is the creator of the Al Thumama Ramadan football tournament, which aims to promote local football clubs and encourage youth sports.
