Inaugural stop of the equestrian event - Global Champions Arabians Tour is set to run from February 1 to 5

News EventQatar is preparing to play home to the Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) first stop, which is scheduled for February 1–5. The programming of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival includes the equestrian competition. “Join us to experience the grace and beauty of the greatest Arabian horses in the world”, according to a statement released by the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara.
With seven locations around Europe and the Middle East, this year's GCAT has an amazing €17 million in total prize money. The itinerary for the tour calls for stops in February in Doha and Abu Dhabi, April in Muscat, Oman, June in Cannes, France; July in Valkenswaard, Netherlands; September in Rome, Italy; and December in Paris, France.
Known for its exciting equestrian sports series with elite riders and horses, Global Champions launched the unique Arabian Horse Championship known as GCAT. The competition will highlight the grace and beauty of the best Arabian horses in the world, with several categories such as Best Handlers and Best Horses (yearling females, yearling males, junior females, junior males, senior females, and senior males).
Prize money is distributed to the top 20 female horses, top 20 male horses, and top 20 handlers in the overall season classification; the total prize money for the top ten horses at each GCAT is €1,050,000, with a total prize money of €7,350,000 for the season.
GCAT seeks to establish a distinctive fairground for Arabian horse shows to grow and prosper and to connect people and cultures worldwide through a shared passion, encouraging inclusivity, respect, and the exchange of knowledge. It also seeks to highlight the distinctiveness of Purebred Arabian Horses through an international platform, fostering a legacy of excellence, transparency, fairness, and integrity.
