Katara Art Center opened a group art exhibition of contemporary graphic art on Monday

News EventA group exhibition of modern graphic art with 15 artists from Qatar and many Arab nations launched at the Katara Art Centre (KAC) on Monday. Every artist showcased a collection of graphic pieces created using a variety of manual printing methods.
Hassan Al Mulla, Wadha Al Sulaiti, Haifa Al Khuzai, Maryam Al Mousa, and Abdulrahman Al Mutawa are among the artists from Qatar.
Additional musicians from Iraq are Sahar Zuhair and Ibrahim Hussein; Morocco's Bushra Akhnafo; Kuwait's Thuraya Al Baqsmi; Bahrain's Zakia Zada and Ali Al Muhaimid; Egypt's Saeed Al Habashi and Sherine Abdeljawad; and Oman's Maryam Al Zadjali and Naglaa Al Saadi.
The show at KAC's offices in Building 5 of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation will run through 6 November.
The artwork on exhibit covers a wide range of subjects and concepts that are influenced by Arab natural, social, and cultural components as well as Gulf history and tradition. It also draws inspiration from musical instruments, birds, and flowers, and has textual symbols and margins in the form of storyboards in comic panels.
