Katara has announced the opening of registration for Katara’s seventh award for Qu’ran Recitation from Oct. 1 until Dec. 15

The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara has announced that registration will be available from October 1 through December 15 for Katara's seventh award for Qu'ran recitation with the theme: "Decorate the Quran with your voices." The project, which is supported by the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, is part of Katara's commitment to playing a leading cultural and religious role in the Arab and Islamic worlds. It aims to identify outstanding Quran reciters and present them to the world.

All entries will be evaluated by the screening committee, who will then choose the top 100 to go to the finals in Doha via broadcast episodes. Six Tajweed and beautiful recitation experts make up the jury committee for the award. The allotted award has a value of QR900,000. The first-place winner will get QR500,000, second-place winner will get QR300,000, and third-place winner will get QR100,000.
