Katara has launched its Ramadan activities with varied activities, competitions, and prizes

The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, has begun its Ramadan celebrations. Katara's gates and hallways have been illuminated with festive lights to create a magnificent scene for the holy month. The organisation has been eager to expand the range of things it does. These include art shows, sporting events, and several competitions where winners have received cash awards.

On March 14, 2024, three exhibitions will open: Spirit of the Arabic Letter Exhibition, Mention in the Qur'an Exhibition, and World Mosques in Postcards Exhibition. 

Working with the Qatar Chess Federation, the Katara Ramadan Chess Championship 2024 will take place in Building 15 from 14 to 23 March.

One of Katara's contests is the Best Picture Competition for Katara's Ramadan Activities, which is open to citizens and residents of Qatar and runs through March 24. The top three finishers will get the following prizes: QR12,000 for first place, QR8,000 for second place, and QR6,000 for third place.

The 13th session of the Qur'an memorization competition, which is open to youngsters born in 2010, 2011, and 2012 until March 25th, will also be held in Katara. 

Visitors pay close attention to the Katara Cannon and the daily Q&A session, which are two of the ways Katara tries to maintain Qatari cultural history. Additionally, it showcases a variety of goods from Creativity Square's handcraft market.
