The Katara International Hunting and Falcons exhibition (S’hail) is planned to be held from September 5 to 10. S’hail, under Katara is a platform recognised for hunting and falconry in the country. It was established in 2017 and intends to preserve and create awareness about Qatar’s rich cultural legacy by organising world-class exhibition, larger-than-life events and activities, awareness programmes and supporting educational and environmental initiatives at both national and global levels. Hence, major preparations are ongoing connected with the event.
Tents are already being set up at Al Hikam square at the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara next to the Drama Theatre or near Building 16. With less than a month for the event to kick off, the workers are finishing the flooring of the platform where the six-day exhibition will take place. The same was posted on its official Facebook page by S’hail.
The exhibition halls will be divided to different zones that features equipment, guns, vehicle outfitting related to hunting, then for selling falcons, supplies for outdoor sports etc. Moreover, falcons and falconry will be displayed, advanced technology tools required in the field of hunting hobby are also among the other items that are displayed.
The sixth edition of the expo will showcase premium falcons, hunting and falconry equipment from all around the world. It is considered as one of the largest of its kind and aims to promote the hobby of hunting and Qatar’s rich Arab heritage. The exhibition also pursues to increase mutually beneficial relationships between traders and falcon owners both locally and internationally, and to explore products and services.
Two hundred fifty companies from 19 countries took part in the fifth edition last year. Among those who participated are United Kingdom, the United States of America, Albania, Russia, Poland, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, and other Gulf countries.
The committee of S’hail had earlier announced that they are providing the opportunity for participating companies an ‘online pavilion’ at its mobile application that enables them to display their various products. Special hotel offers are also being offered to visitors of the exhibition which can be accessed through scanning the QR code at S’hail’s social media pages.
Tickets for the exhibition will soon be available at S’hail website and its mobile application.
