Korean music fans in Qatar are invited to be part of the K-Pop World Festival taking place in October 2024

Fans of Korean music in Qatar are cordially invited to participate in the K-Pop World Festival, which is scheduled to occur in Changwon in October of 2024. 

Audition dates for the Qatar region are already available, according to the Korean Embassy in Qatar. Fans are urged to submit dance or vocal performance videos and a clip of an interview by July 18, 2024. Sending the application form, performance video, and interview video to kangmk1107@mofa.or.kr must be done in one email. 

Although anybody living in Qatar is eligible to enter the competition, the organizers suggested that contestants be at least 16 years old. An independent panel will assess the films based on stage management, charisma and expressions, and choreography abilities. Regional preliminary findings will be shared on the Embassy's social media by August 11, 2024. 

The embassy cautioned that participation in the main competition in Korea will not be guaranteed for winners of the regional preliminary. "Once the winners for the regional preliminary in Qatar has been decided, the Embassy will inform the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), the host of 2024 Changwon K-pop World Festival, who will decide which preliminary winners will make it to the main competition," stated the statement. The embassy further stated that individuals who are approved to compete in the main competition will have their travel and lodging costs paid for.
