NHRC has inaugurated the 'Human Rights and Football' exhibition at the Old Doha Port

The 'Human Rights and Football' display in the Old Doha Port was opened by the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) to promote awareness of human rights values. The occasion has been introduced in tandem with the Qatar 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The NHRC Chairperson, H E Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah, stated that the event paintings clearly focus on human rights values, equality, non-discrimination, repudiation of violence, as well as values of practicing sports and promoting unity among nations. She further stated that the inauguration falls within the framework of deepening human rights culture to help citizens, residents, and football fans imbibe this culture.

In addition to expressing ideas that unite people worldwide through societal integration and unity and spread the spirit of hope and love among them, the exhibition features paintings by Qatari artist Ahmed Al Maadeed. Al Attiyah also added that the paintings help to build the future of football through voluntary collective work.
