Doha, Qatar: The Nomas Center, part of the Ministry of Culture, has opened registration for a sea trip aboard the "Nomas Dhow." This initiative aims to instill values, strengthen the national identity of young participants, and introduce them to Qatar's authentic heritage.
The sea trip, set for Saturday, November 16, will be a one-day educational camp aboard the traditional ship "Sanbuk." Numerous cultural, educational, and recreational activities are planned for participants throughout the journey. The sea trip, running from 9 am to 5 pm, is designed for students and children aged 8 to 14. It aims to develop their self-reliance skills and abilities while encouraging them to engage in traditional marine heritage activities.
The sea trip will feature activities and workshops that introduce participants to the Qatari marine environment, traditional maritime navigation, and training on safety procedures and first aid. Additionally, there will be sessions on fishing techniques, diving, and popular games.
