Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani promised $100m as humanitarian aid for Ukraine

NewsQatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, On Friday, committed $100 million in humanitarian relief to Ukraine. Sheikh Mohammed, who met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, offered Ukraine every assistance.
Sheikh Mohammed, the first Qatari official to visit Ukraine, was greeted in Kyiv by Zelensky. He praised the country for its kind assistance. Shmyhal stated that they addressed Ukraine's peace formula, a 10-point peace plan that includes nuclear, energy, and food security, as well as border restoration. Shmyhal commended Qatar for its willingness to intercede in attempts to return hundreds of Ukrainian youngsters who had been transferred to Russia during Moscow's invasion.
Sheikh Mohammed and Zelensky also addressed the next initiatives to secure global food security and the safe operation of the grain corridor. Zelensky also highlighted Qatari investment funds and business circles' prospects to engage in the implementation of certain programmes for Ukraine's growth and restoration.
