Qatar Boat Show is one of the initiatives highlighting Qatar’s rising status as a top tourist destination

The Qatar Boat Show 2024 is one of the initiatives aimed at highlighting Qatar's rising status as a top tourist destination and a hub for maritime lifestyle, thus further enhancing the maritime tourism sector in the country, stated Mohammad Abdullah Al Mulla, CEO of Old Doha Port, of the government's extensive tourism efforts.

After the nation successfully hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Al Mulla stated that the primary goal was always to have the tourist attractions constructed and properly communicated to the outside world. One way to demonstrate this is by holding a maritime event of the size of the Boat Show.
