News EventThe book "Al Shaqab, The Legacy of Arabian Horses" has been released by Qatar Museums at the 33rd Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), which is taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) through May 18. The book, written by widely recognized author Judith Forbis, follows the path of Qatar's famed Al Shaqab Stud and includes stunning pictures of Arabian horses.
With three champion stallions, Al Shaqab has set new world records in less than ten years of dominating international championships. The Arabian horse breed was revitalized in the Gulf by these stallions, Al Adeed Al Shaqab, Gazal Al Shaqab, and Marwan Al Shaqab. They also built the Qatari stable's reputation for future generations.
The Heritage, The Legend, and The Legacy are the three chapters that make up the over 200-page book. It discusses a number of topics, such as the history of the Arabian horse, the establishment of the Al Thani Dynasty, the accomplishments of Al Shaqab, and the most recent changes at the Al Shaqab Stud. The book seeks to highlight the little-known history of the Al Thani dynasty, their cherished Arabian horses, and the impact Qatar and Al Shaqab have had on the world.
