Qatar Rail launched the “Back to School” event at Sport City Station in Doha Metro, from August 25 to September 3

Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) and several top Qatari suppliers of school supplies from August 25, 2024, will host the "Back to School" event at Sport City Station in Doha Metro. This event is a part of the company's annual "Metro Events" series, which it hosts for the public at metro stations. 

This program is a part of the company's long-term strategy objective to actively involve the public in metro stations to turn them into attractions and vibrant communities. 

The 'Back to School' event gives customers and the public the chance to take advantage of special deals from bookshops and retailers that specialise in school supplies. The event runs daily from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. 

Prominent bookshops have been given many retail locations in Sport City Station to showcase their various promotional wares alongside other shopkeepers selling school supplies and associated stuff. 

The event is easily accessible to the public via the three metro lines by taking the Gold Line to Sport City Station or by going straight through the station door next to the parking lots around Khalifa International Stadium.

Public participation in several events is planned; information on these events may be obtained via Qatar Rail's social media platforms. Children's activities are organised in association with KidZMondo Doha and the Panda House of the Ministry of Municipality. 

The "Sport? This way!" and "Journey towards Health" events marked the beginning of Qatar Rail's "Metro Events" series in 2023. In addition, several well-received events have been planned around the metro network as part of this series.
