News EventQatar Tourism, in partnership with the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS), will be hosting the inaugural edition of GIMS Qatar, which will take place from October 5 to 14, 2023. The expo, which will take up over 10,000 m2 at the Doha expo and Convention Centre (DECC), will include 31 prominent automobile manufacturers such as Toyota, Lexus, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, BMW, KIA, Audi, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Vinfast, Chery, and many more.
GIMS Qatar will include the most recent industry advances, 10+ global debuts, and 20+ regional premieres.
GIMS Qatar 2023 will also establish the ultimate automotive festival of automotive excellence in Qatar, with four immersive experiences taking place across some of the country's most renowned tourism locations.
A "Future Design Forum" at the National Museum of Qatar, thrilling offroad adventures at Sealine, thrilling ride-and-drive experiences at the Lusail International Circuit, an exquisite gallery of classic automobiles, and a grand parade of automotive excellence along the iconic Lusail Boulevard are among the highlights.
GIMS Qatar will host a Forum for the Future of Car Design at the National Museum of Qatar in a closed event, in collaboration with the upcoming Qatar Auto Museum and Car Design News, which will include a rich programme of keynote speakers, exclusive panel discussions, and a networking lunch that will facilitate disruptive dialogue and cross-disciplinary thinking to discuss the future of the automotive industry.
The Sealine Adventure Hub, located at the magnificent Outpost Al Barari, will let visitors to explore the surrounding dunes and see firsthand the talents and capacities of automobile manufacturers competing in GIMS Qatar 2023 as they overcome the most difficult terrains.
GIMS Qatar will also organise four special Track Days at Lusail International Circuit in partnership with the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF).
Guests will be given first-class treatment, including the rare opportunity to drive on the freshly refurbished circuit straight behind the F1 winners. The Urban Playground on Lusail Boulevard will bring GIMS Qatar's enthusiasm and energy to life via captivating performances and interactive activities.
On October 12 at 19:00, a spectacular Parade of Excellence will take place, with up to 100 dream vehicles and distinctive models moving along Lusail Boulevard's 1.3km renowned stretch.
A Classics Gallery at the DECC will allow visitors to discover a unique collection of the world's best and finest automobiles. This display, which features some of the greatest automobiles ever manufactured as well as top concourse winners, is a must-see for all discriminating vintage car buyers, collectors, and enthusiasts.
The stunning show also highlights automotive treasures from private collections in Qatar and Arabia.
GIMS Qatar will be open everyday in the DECC from 14:00 - 22:00, and on Saturdays from 10:00 - 22:00. The festival will have free admission throughout the week and a paid entrance fee of QAR 50 on weekends.
