Souq Waqif to hold the truffle exhibition and auction beginning from December 26

Souq Waqif will organize a truffle exhibition and auction in 2025, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, beginning December 26. The event will take place at Souq Waqif's eastern courtyard, with the truffle auction running from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. throughout the exhibition.

Many truffle fans assemble at the Souq Waqif auction early in the morning to grab their "Fagga" before the season ends.

Truffles are eaten and prepared in a variety of ways, including fresh in salads, boiled in milk, sautéed in butter, roasted over campfires, and used as stuffing or stews. They are also an important element in many traditional Qatari recipes, particularly "Majboos."
