The inaugural Qatar-UAE Super Cup, a historic football match that highlights the cooperative spirit between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, is about to take place. HE Mohammad Khalifa Al Suwaidi, vice-president of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), and HE Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi, head of the UAE Pro League, signed a document to formally commit to this joint venture. Numerous well-known athletes and members of the worldwide media were present during the event.
The inaugural event of the competition, the Qatar-UAE Super Cup, will take place in Doha on April 12, 2024. It will include a match between Al Arabi, the winners of the Amir Cup in Qatar, and Sharjah, the President's Cup winners in the UAE.
The UAE-Qatar Super Cup Shield, which is slated for April 13, 2024, in Dubai, promises further excitement as it pits the 2022–2023 Qatar Stars League winners Al Duhail against the 2022–2023 ADNOC Pro League champions Shabab Al Ahli.
