The Qatar Stars League (QSL) administration announced on Tuesday that the 2023–2024 season will start on August 17, 2023.
Al Duhail, led by Hernan Crespo, will defend their championship after winning the Falcon Shield in the most recent campaign.
Muaither SC, a team that was promoted from the Second Division and took the place of the demoted Al Sailiya, will be one of the groups competing in the top division.
After defeating Second Division runners-up Al Khor in the play-off, Al Shamal was able to remain in the QSL.
