News EventThe Winter Festival in Old Doha Port is already underway, and both residents and visitors are savouring the festive mood. The festival runs until January 7. An enthralling roving procession, staged four times a day from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., is the festival's main attraction.
The Old Doha Port comes to life with jugglers, stilt walkers, magicians, and mascots that include a whale, frog, and bear against the vivid hues of its buildings. In addition to demonstrating the port's unique character, these hues are brought to life by the recently installed murals by thirteen domestic and international artists that were part of the World Wide Walls mural festival.
In addition to the exciting procession, the festival has a lovely selection of traditional crafts and kid-friendly events, such as face painting and marine mascots. The celebrations run from Wednesday through Saturday till January 7 and feature free-of-charge must-see events.
One of the main draws in the nation is the Old Doha Port, which opened only days before Qatar 2022's FIFA World Cup. The 800,000 square metre project, which took four years to complete, has a mixed-use building with more than 50 cafés, restaurants and businesses.
One of the most important parts of the Old Doha Port, aside from the docks and the Grand Terminal, is the Mina District, which is made up of pastel-colored commercial buildings.
