The second art exhibition “Contemporary Art in the Service of Identity and Heritage” opened at Al Jasra Cultural and Social Club

The second art show, "Contemporary Art in the Service of Identity and Heritage," was launched by Culture Minister H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani at Al Jasra Cultural and Social Club yesterday. A number of Qatari and resident artists will be participating in the festival, which runs until mid-December.

Khalid Al Obaidan, vice chairman of the board of directors of the Al Jasra Cultural and Social Club, stated that this exhibition fits within the club's broad goal, which covers all fields of knowledge related to literature, culture, and the arts. At the same time, he pointed out that great art is among the most significant and excellent forms of expression since it makes a significant contribution to expanding one's perspective and fostering beauty in the world.

Al Obaidan announced that the exhibition would include several activities in addition to being available to the public and its surrounds. He extended invites to schools and other relevant authorities to visit the show. He emphasised that the participating artists had left a unique mark both domestically and globally in the arts.
